Software Development Engineer in Test I (SDET I - Entry Level)
Summary / Objective
The Software Development Engineer in Test I (entry level) will have the opportunity to build hands-on experience working alongside experienced Quality Assurance and Engineering team members to help conceive, design and develop our AWS based registry platform by developing, executing and maintaining software & frameworks to test the registry platform
This role reports to the Director, Quality Assurance.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain automated tests in C# for new and existing product features, with guidance from experienced SDETs
- Works with senior SDETs to enhance our existing automation framework which is written in C#
- Writes data driven back-end tests using relational & non-relational database methods from the automation framework
- Works with more senior automation engineers to understand features and design documents
- Derives automated & manual tests from specifications and development design documents
- Assists with deploying environments using cloud platforms such as AWS via Azure DevOps
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance Engineers and software engineers as part of an Agile development team on automation tests in C#
- Build knowledge of our registry platform to understand the different modules and how they interact with each other
- Learn to configure and maintain automated tests within our TeamCity continuous integration environment
- Understands requirement documents for the purpose of writing test cases
- Maintains work items (bugs, test plans and estimates) to reflect the work accomplished

Who You Are / What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- 0–1 years of experience in software development, software testing, test automation, or a related technical area
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; relevant internships, co-ops, academic projects, personal projects, or similar experience will be considered
- Foundational experience with object-oriented programming languages such as C# or Java, gained through coursework, internships, projects, or professional experience
- Familiarity with SQL queries and stored procedures white box testing (MS-SQL / MySQL / PostgreSQL)
- Familiarity automation testing of xml/Json API backend services
- Exposure to AI tools and concepts in software testing, with a keen interest in leveraging AI to enhance QA efficiency, test design, and automated QA code generation
- Exposure to cloud technologies is a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and systems
- Displays a passion for technology and software quality
- Ability to work outside core business hours as needed
- Ability to travel as needed
- Ability to work across time zones as part of a global organization as needed
- Reliable transportation to the workplace
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Salary Range
The base salary range for this full-time position is €55,000 - €65,000 (flexibility based on experience) plus additional benefits. In addition, the successful candidate will be eligible to receive other compensation from time to time in the form of discretionary and/or nondiscretionary bonuses and long-term incentive plan. Actual compensation will be influenced by a candidate’s qualifications, internal employee equity considerations, and location. We will not ask for information about a candidate's current or past compensation for purposes of developing an offer of employment.
