The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Architect to join our Architecture team. As a Software Architect, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of scalable and robust software solutions on our Global connectivity platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software architecture, .NET development, and Azure cloud services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design high-performance software architecture for the Cubic platform that ensures horizontal and vertical scaling to meet our growing business needs.
  • Define technical strategies and ensure alignment with product and business requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership in architectural decision-making and advise senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of products in line with architectural designs.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for architectural designs, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Mentor and support engineers on architectural concepts as well as conduct code reviews where necessary to provide constructive feedback and govern coding standards.
  • Implement and advocate for best practices in our software development lifecycle.
  • Keep on top of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations that drive efficiencies and/or value add.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the software industry, with a proven track record of technical leadership in a SaaS / product lead organisation.
  • Proven experience as a Software Architect, with a focus on .NET and Azure technologies, in a product development environment.
  • Strong proficiency in software and systems engineering, specifically in a .NET environment
  • Solid understanding of security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a results driven mindset.
  • Leadership experience in guiding development teams.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
