What this Job Entails: 

This role will focus on forging strategic partnerships and favorable agreements with Mobile Network Operators (MNO’s) worldwide for our client. 

The role will work closely with engineering and operational stakeholders to ensure the success of each business units’ SMS strategy. 

Scope:

  • Develops and executes SMS category contracting strategies, including comprehensive cost reduction opportunities, quality of service improvements, and innovation, focusing on Total Cost of Ownership 

  • Builds a strong understanding of strategic business direction, requirements, and priorities across assigned category

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, including MNO’s, client business units and internal partners. 

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • Strong understanding of the technical and commercial aspects of SMS messaging, including A2P messaging, signaling, and interoperability.

  • Deep expertise in SMS messaging and its applications within enterprise/hyperscaler environments.

  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management within the telecommunications industry.

  • Extensive experience negotiating and contracting with MNOs globally.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 8+ years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 

  • Must be able to lead a cooperative effort across members of project teams.

  • Ability to communicate effectively 

  • Exercises logic and reasoning to define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; makes decisions that support business objectives and goals 

  • Public relations skills for maintaining effective working relationships with individuals and groups 

  • Ability to analyze complex business and technical issues and develop, recommend and implement effective solutions 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Background within the Google ecosystem as well as within Astreya

Physical Demand & Work Environment:

  • Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing

  • Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment

  • Must be able to use a computer

  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively 

  • Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
