We make health happen

At Bupa, we’re here to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives and make a better world. It’s what drives every decision we make. In this SME & Corporate Account Manager role, you’ll play an important part in supporting organisations across Europe by helping them access high‑quality global health insurance and services.

You’ll make a real difference by building strong, trusted relationships with clients and brokers, understanding what matters to them and matching their needs with the right solutions. This includes working closely with customers to retain and grow their health insurance plans, uncovering opportunities through conversations, and bringing Bupa’s world‑class care and expertise to life in every interaction.

This role offers the chance to work across a diverse European portfolio, represent Bupa at events, and help shape long‑term partnerships that support healthier workplaces.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Manage a portfolio of SME and Corporate clients across Europe, supporting them with retention, renewals, pricing discussions and day‑to‑day queries.

  • Build positive, proactive relationships with clients, brokers and internal teams, making sure renewal activity runs smoothly and customer care stays front and centre.

  • Keep clients updated on their benefits, annual claims activity, and any relevant market or regulatory changes.

  • Help prepare and deliver quarterly review presentations for key brokers and partners.

  • Keep your product knowledge up to date so you can clearly explain Bupa’s offering and highlight what sets us apart.

  • Spot opportunities to support business growth — whether through referrals, industry events, or your strong client relationships.

  • Maintain awareness of competitor products, market trends and developments across the European insurance landscape.

  • Participate in new business pitches and Bupa-wide projects, representing our account management proposition with confidence and professionalism.

  • Prioritise your workload to meet agreed service levels, managing calls, emails and administrative tasks effectively.

  • Act as a role model for Bupa’s values, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and good customer outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • A solid background in the global health insurance market or transferable experience from financial services, such as life insurance or banking.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work across multiple functions.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship‑building skills.

  • Confidence in negotiation and analysis, with a track record of achieving strong commercial results.

  • A proactive, positive approach and the confidence to share insights or suggest improvements.

  • Fluent English (spoken and written), with additional European languages being a plus.

  • The ability to travel internationally when needed.
