Job Description:
ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a customer-focused and enthusiastic desk side technician with a genuine interest in solving peoples I.T issues. This is an entry level position; however, the applicant should be technically competent, possess excellent written and face to face communication skills and be willing to collaborate with the wider Global I.T support teams.
Based in Leixlip, supporting thousands of users both onsite in the Intel campus in Co. Kildare and across the EMEA region you will be supporting a customer who sets high standards for themselves and expects the same standards of DXC as their IT support provider.
Day to day activity includes resolving a wide variety of laptop software and hardware issues and requests, while minimizing disruption to our users.
DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION: (including but not limited to…)
Providing 1st and 2nd level laptop / desktop support
Monitor call management system to include continuous updating and closing of calls when resolved.
Strictly meet all Service Level Agreements
Adhere to all policies and procedures as set out by the customer.
Provide support for; Walk-in Service Centre, Installs, Breakfix, Refresh, Training Rooms, Conference Rooms/AV Support, Warehouse support, Remote Sites and Home Users, and Digital Signage If Required
Troubleshoot Office Software Issues: Be able to support common software issues within the Office Suite
Support Wireless office environment
Offer productivity assistance and training to all customers if required.
Provide proactive support to all customers.
Participate in Project based assignments when required.
Participate in Hardware /OS Refresh activity adhering to strict PC refresh schedules.
Document and keep processes & procedures up to date.
Regular off-site visits to Intel Warehouse to support proactive activity and incidents may be required.
Provide support for all Warehouse equipment – RF guns, scanners, barcode label printers etc.
Participate in weekly Audio-Visual proactive maintenance schedule when required, log and resolve issues.
Attend all weekly Team Meetings
Support Intel Microsoft Teams Room
ESSENTIALS SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
1 years’ experience in a similar position is desirable.
Professional, with excellent communication, organisational skills, and customer interaction abilities
Understands the value of and follows the appropriate process or procedure.
Unquestionably flexible and present a value-add performance.
Ability to quickly adapt and learn.
Excellent customer focus
Team player with excellent interpersonal communication skills
Self-motivation and the ability to work under minimal supervision are a must.
Excellent hardware knowledge
Experience in Refresh/Rollout activity
Proficient knowledge of Windows OS (Windows 11 etc..) and the Microsoft Office suite
Manual Handling Experience
