Why Murex needs Services Presales

Murex’s Presales team plays a transversal role in the organization and acts as a central enabler of the sales process. The EMEA Presales team currently contains functional, technical and services experts. Murex has an ambitious sales roadmap and there is a continuous flow of new opportunities for both our market-proven and new business solutions. Regardless of the solutions we sell, there is always a strong requirement to convince the prospect of our ability to implement, support, run and evolve their MX.3 instance. Further, we need to provide each prospect with compelling arguments for them to use our managed services including SaaS and MXevolve offerings.

What is the role about?

You will act as a Services domain expert covering a wide range of accounts in EMEA. You will be part of a growing team whose purpose is to assist business development teams in EMEA (and sometimes in other regions) to acquire new accounts and to expand at existing ones.

 Your main tasks:

  • Play a central role in the sales process in close collaboration with sales team (Bizdev), client managers and Presales colleagues (from functional, technical and services domains). Including qualification of new opportunities with the sales (Bizdev) team; participate to RFI/RFP response including formulation of Murex answers; understand the client requirements and map to existing Murex solutions and roadmap; identify gaps and risks; align on best strategy for success
  • Prepare and deliver impactful presentations of the MX.3 services to prospects and existing customers. Presentations may be a few hours of introduction, or long selection workshops (full day or multiple days where our offer is detailed). The possible audience can be broad: IT, project team, C-Level managers etc.
  • Provide feedback to Murex’ Service Offer (SO) and Instance Lifecycle (ILC) teams on status of opportunities including gaps, risks, areas of concern for the client etc. When the Presales work is complete, perform handover of the opportunity to the project team.
  • Industrialize the activity to bring massive productivity gains to anyone doing presales worldwide. As such, regularly synchronize with other regional service presales to exchange insights and share learnings. Continuously improve presales quality at each step of the value chain (RFP, slides, pitch, brochures, use cases, handover, presentation soft skills, capacity to answer tricky questions...). Understand the global opportunities’ status and share knowledge and insights with your colleagues.
  • Perform internal training (other domain members and new colleagues)
  • Work with the Murex Go-to-Market (GTM) & Marketing teams to promote (internally and externally) new services, or extensions of existing solutions. Act as the Presales expert within the broader GTM team. Promote our offer to the market e.g. for industry awards and research organizations.

Your profile:

  • The ideal candidate is someone knowledgeable on Murex’s professional services and/or managed services and/or has a solution architect profile.
  • Ideally, you have some knowledge and experience on one or more of these topics: MXplus, MXGO, MXevolve – UaaS; MXevolve – CI; SaaS; MX.3 functional architecture
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills. Fluency in English is a MUST
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong sense of responsibility with high motivation
  • Willingness to travel. Typically, it amounts to no more than a few days travel per month.

What does the role bring to you?

  • The opportunity to collaborate with Murex’ Service Offer (SO) teams and the related product management functions to contribute to the innovation in this area (especially around Managed Services)
  • Direct exposure to customers (clients and new prospects)
  • Widest possible spectrum of exposure (banks, insurance, corporates, commodity, asset managers …). Presales is the best place to fully understand how our clients operate.
  • Practical training and “on the job” ramp-up by directly contributing
  • As you grow in Presales, you may also extend your expertise to other domains (e.g. additional services, functional or technology topics)
  • Earliest possible exposure to new market trends directly from the mouth of the clients
  • Pivotal position in the company and directly impacting the annual revenues of Murex
  • Fueling Murex strategy with market insights
  • You like learning, you will learn!
