Senior Vice President, Fund/Client Accounting – Private Equity Ireland

At BNY, we empower you to grow and succeed.

We’re looking for a Senior Vice President, Fund/Client Accounting to join our Private Equity Ireland team in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a senior leadership role in a business that is growing strongly, supported by recent new business wins and continued momentum across our private markets franchise.

This role is ideal for a leader who combines deep private equity fund accounting expertise with a strong people focus, sound judgement, and a passion for building high-performing teams. You will lead multiple teams, partner closely with clients and internal stakeholders, and help shape the next phase of growth for a business that is investing in its future.

Why this role?

This is a chance to take on a visible and meaningful leadership role with real scope to influence. You will join a collaborative, forward-looking environment where your experience, ideas, and leadership style will be valued. You’ll have the opportunity to lead talented teams, support sophisticated clients, and help scale a growing business in a way that delivers both excellence and long-term sustainability.

At BNY, we know that strong teams are built through different perspectives, experiences, and leadership styles. We welcome candidates who bring a thoughtful, inclusive, and empowering approach to leadership, and we encourage applications from individuals who may not meet every single requirement listed but bring relevant experience and strong potential to succeed in the role.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead multiple Fund/Client Accounting teams supporting a broad portfolio of private equity and alternative investment clients.
  • Oversee the delivery of core fund accounting activities, including NAV production, fund performance reporting, expense allocations, and financial reporting.
  • Manage team priorities, resources, and delivery to ensure a high-quality client experience and strong execution against business objectives.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and act as a senior escalation point for complex accounting and operational matters.
  • Provide oversight and direction on financial reporting, ensuring quality, accuracy, and alignment with applicable accounting standards and client expectations.
  • Guide teams to maintain strong accounting records, processes, and controls in line with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Apply technical expertise and judgement to resolve complex issues and support effective decision-making.
  • Help lead change, including the implementation of regulatory, policy, and process developments, and identify opportunities to improve scalability, efficiency, and control.
  • Partner with auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure reporting outputs accurately reflect fund activity and performance.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead talented people, creating an inclusive, accountable, and high-performing team environment.
  • Support new business onboarding, transitions, and growth initiatives as the business continues to expand.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA, preferred.
  • Significant leadership experience in fund accounting, private equity fund administration, alternative investment servicing, or client accounting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of private equity fund accounting, including capital calls, distributions, investor allocations, management fees, carried interest, waterfall calculations, portfolio investment accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, or overseeing reporting under IFRS and/or US GAAP.
  • A strong understanding of private capital fund structures, including limited partnerships, feeder vehicles, SPVs, and similar entities.
  • A proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire teams, while fostering an inclusive and supportive culture.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with fund accounting systems, general ledger platforms, and reporting tools.
  • A track record of driving process improvement and operating effectively in a controlled, deadline-oriented environment.

It would be a plus if you also have:

  • Experience across private equity, real estate, infrastructure, venture capital, or other alternative asset classes.
  • Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional fund structures and European servicing environments.
  • Experience with platforms such as Investran, eFront, Geneva, or similar tools.
  • Experience supporting fund launches, transitions, onboarding, or broader business growth initiatives.
