About Us:

Storm Technology specialises in helping clients expand the possibilities of what digital technology can achieve for their business. A Microsoft Solutions Partner with over 30 years’ experience, Storm Technology is the Microsoft solutions partner of choice for digital technology advancement and adoption. Our team is comprised of highly skilled business professionals, technology experts, and change management specialists, who bring business and technology know-how together with a proven project methodology to deliver tangible return on investment. They are passionate individuals who thrive when part of a team that designs the best Microsoft technology solutions for our clients.

In August 2024, Storm announced that it had been acquired by Littlefish, an award-winning managed IT and cyber security services provider based in Nottingham, UK. We believe that this acquisition further strengthens Storm’s service portfolio for both new and existing clients in Ireland, particularly within the managed IT services and cyber security space, and facilitates future growth, enabling the delivery of its Microsoft business solutions to the UK market. In turn, this will see both companies extend their capabilities across larger scale projects and to a wider breadth of clients. Together, Storm Technology and Littlefish will continue to deliver industry leading services to existing customers across the areas of managed IT services, cloud services, and strategic consultancy.   So, this is a very exciting time to join this important phase of our growth journey!

We're looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of complex technology projects across enterprise applications, cloud platforms and Data & AI workstreams. You’ll work closely with client stakeholders, architects, technical leads, delivery teams and vendors to ensure projects are delivered to agreed scope, timelines, quality standards and governance expectations.

This is a senior delivery role for someone who can bring structure, clarity and momentum to technically complex projects. The emphasis is on project delivery, stakeholder confidence, risk and dependency management, and the ability to understand technical issues well enough to coordinate the right decisions without owning the solution architecture.

Key responsibilities

Project planning & delivery governance

  • Lead end-to-end planning and delivery across technical workstreams, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality and resources are actively managed

  • Maintain clear delivery plans, milestones, RAID logs, actions, decisions and dependency trackers

  • Run effective governance forums, status reporting, change control and escalation routes aligned to PMO and client expectations

Stakeholder, vendor & team coordination

  • Act as the day-to-day delivery interface between the client, Storm teams, technical leads and third-party vendors

  • Translate technical progress, blockers and decisions into clear updates for business and senior stakeholders

  • Build trusted working relationships with client product owners, heads of function and delivery stakeholders

Technical coordination

  • Work with architects and technical leads to ensure delivery plans reflect agreed architecture, security, integration and quality requirements

  • Track technical decisions, assumptions and dependencies so they are visible, owned and progressed

  • Support sprint, release and transition planning across development, testing, infrastructure, data and support teams

Risk, change & dependency management

  • Identify, manage and escalate delivery, technical, security and commercial risks before they impact outcomes

  • Manage cross-workstream dependencies and ensure actions are owned, tracked and closed

  • Support controlled change, adoption, documentation, handover and transition to live service

Data platforms & AI delivery

  • Coordinate delivery of Data & AI workstreams, including planning, dependencies, risks, reporting and stakeholder updates

  • Work with technical SMEs to ensure responsible AI, data quality, security and cloud migration considerations are understood and tracked

  • Ensure pilots and proofs of concept have clear scope, success criteria, ownership and transition plans

What we're looking for

Experience & qualifications

  • 7–10+ years’ experience delivering technology projects in medium or large organisations

  • 3–5+ years’ experience managing complex technical projects or programmes across multiple teams or vendors

  • Strong project management discipline across planning, RAID, governance, reporting, financial control, change control and delivery assurance

  • Good technical fluency across Microsoft cloud, M365, SharePoint, Azure, Power Platform and/or data platforms

  • Experience working with architects, developers, testers, infrastructure, security, data and support teams

  • Experience in regulated, public-sector or enterprise delivery environments

  • Relevant project delivery certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, Agile, SAFe or Microsoft certification is desirable

Skills & personal attributes

  • Clear, confident communicator who can engage both technical teams and senior business stakeholders

  • Highly organised, structured and comfortable bringing clarity to complex or ambiguous delivery environments

  • Strong relationship management, influencing and escalation skills

  • Commercially aware, delivery-focused and accountable for outcomes

  • Curious about technology, but pragmatic about using it to deliver measurable client value
