The Senior Tax Analyst prepares Irish tax returns, conducts tax research, liaises with tax advisors, supports finance teams, and develops compliance policies.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit Irish tax returns, including VAT and corporation tax filings.
- Conduct comprehensive tax research and analysis to ensure adherence to all Irish tax legislation and regulations, including VAT, corporation tax, and PAYE.
- Liaise with external tax advisors and tax authorities as necessary.
- Support the finance team with the preparation of tax-related financial statements.
- Develop and maintain tax compliance policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify tax-related risks and opportunities associated with business operations.
- Undertake and assist with special projects as required.Required Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of tax accounting, audit processes, and tax legislation.
- Demonstrated experience with preparing intricate tax returns for corporations.
- Meticulous attention to detail, adept organisation skills, and the ability to deliver on tight timelines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Capability to collaborate effectively within a multicultural team with patience and understanding.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Experience gained from a Big-4 accounting firm is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Over one year of experience in Irish tax, preferably with a public accounting firm and/or multinational corporation.
- ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified.
