About the role

As a Solution Architect, you will be the primary technical owner for DACH Enterprise customers post-sale, ensuring successful design, deployment, and long-term adoption of n8n within complex environments. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and reliable architectures.

This is a highly hands-on, customer-facing role focused on Enterprise implementations and expansion. You will work directly with technical stakeholders to design solutions, guide customers through production deployments, and ensure n8n delivers sustained value across their organization.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Own the technical post-sales lifecycle for Enterprise customers, from solution design through production deployment and expansion

  • Lead architectural design sessions, implementation planning, and deep-dive technical workshops tailored to complex Enterprise environments

  • Translate customer requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable n8n architectures, aligned with best practices for deployment, governance, and reliability

  • Partner closely with Customer Success Managers to support onboarding, adoption, and long-term customer success for Enterprise accounts

  • Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex implementations, integrations, and architectural challenges

  • Guide customers through production readiness, including security reviews, infrastructure design, performance considerations, and operational best practices

  • Collaborate with Sales and Solutions Engineering during late-stage deals and handoffs to ensure continuity from pre-sale evaluation to post-sale delivery

  • Help customers plan and execute multi-use-case adoption, supporting platform expansion across teams and business units

  • Capture architectural learnings and customer feedback to inform Product, Engineering, and internal enablement materials

  • Contribute to internal documentation, reference architectures, and implementation frameworks that scale Enterprise delivery

Must-have

💼 Solution Architecture & Post-Sales Experience: You have 6+ years of experience in a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or post-sales engineering role within B2B SaaS, with direct ownership of Enterprise customer implementations

🔁 Post-Sales Delivery Ownership: You have hands-on experience supporting customers after the deal is closed, including solution design, deployment, onboarding, and long-term adoption

🗣 Excellent Communication Skills: You can clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and confidently lead architectural discussions with Enterprise stakeholders

🏗 Architectural Thinking & Problem Solving: You excel at designing scalable, secure solutions and adapting architectures to fit customer constraints and evolving requirements

🤝 Customer Partnership & Relationship Building: You build strong, trusted relationships with IT, Security, Platform, and Engineering teams and act as a long-term technical partner

🔧 Strong Technical Proficiency, including hands-on experience with:

  • API integrations, OAuth, and authentication/authorization concepts

  • JavaScript and/or Python for scripting, integrations, or custom logic

  • Containerization and orchestration concepts (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • CI/CD and DevOps practices

  • Networking fundamentals, security best practices, and observability concepts

☁️ Cloud & Infrastructure Expertise: You have deep experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and understand production SaaS infrastructure patterns

🚀 Startup Mindset: You thrive in fast-paced environments, take ownership, and are comfortable wearing multiple hats across delivery, architecture, and enablement

✈️ Travel-Read: You’re open to occasional travel and onboarding sessions with the team in NYC / EMEA as needed
🇩🇪 German Language Fluency: You have native-level or equivalent professional fluency in German and are comfortable engaging Enterprise customers in technical and architectural conversations

🤖 AI & Automation Experience
Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with AI/LLM platforms, including:

  • LLMs, RAG, agents, and orchestration frameworks

  • Integrating AI capabilities into automation workflows

🎓 Advanced Technical Background: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

🌱 Community & Open Source Engagement: Experience contributing to or working with open-source projects or technical communities

🛠 Product Familiarity: Experience with n8n or similar workflow automation, integration, or iPaaS platforms

📊 Data-Driven Approach: Comfortable using data to improve solution design, delivery processes, and customer outcomes
