Job Description:
Senior Software Engineer
Join a smart, dedicated, and collaborative team working on innovative, customer-facing digital asset products for a greenfield project at Fidelity Labs. You’ll design and build secure, scalable, and user-centric solutions from the ground up, driving our vision for next-generation DeFi initiatives. As part of a maturing startup, you’ll have a voice in shaping both product and technology, working in a culture that values curiosity, ownership, and rapid experimentation while maintaining technical excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build large-scale, secure, and highly available applications.
- Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS, leveraging API-first, microservices, and container-based designs.
- Work across the stack using TypeScript, Python, Rust, or Go, and frameworks like Next.js, Django, and React building front ends, internal and external API driven services.
- Design and optimize data systems, including relational databases, ORMs, and analytics platforms such as Elasticsearch or Snowflake.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to refine requirements and translate ideas into deliverables.
- Drive agile development practices, rapid prototyping, iterative validation, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentor and guide engineers, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years building and scaling production-grade software systems.
- 5+ years designing cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Strong experience with data modeling, ORMs, and distributed data systems.
- Proficiency in one or more modern languages (TypeScript, Python, Rust, Go) and familiarity with full-stack development.
- Experience leading technical discussions and influencing architecture decisions.
- Comfortable in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities.
- Interest in DeFi and blockchain is a plus (not required).
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (preferred, not required).
