As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you'll be more than just an automation engineer-you'll be a technical leader within the team, influencing test strategy, mentoring engineers, and championing best practices in automated, performance, and accessibility (A11y) testing.
RoleQuality & Test Automation
- Contribute to evolving our test automation strategy, ensuring it integrates seamlessly into our CI/CD pipeline.
- Develop, maintain, and improve automated tests using Cypress, Java, RestAssured, JMeter, and SQL.
- Advocate for shift-left testing, embedding quality practices from the start of development.
- Ensure our a11y testing is comprehensive and meets WCAG compliance.
- Work collaboratively within an Agile team-partnering with developers, PM-Ts, and designers to deliver high-quality software.
- Challenge requirements, raise potential risks early, and ensure full test coverage.
- Define and track quality metrics to measure and improve testing effectiveness.
Mentor & Influence
- Be a champion for quality-collaborating with other developers and QEs on best practices for test automation and clean coding principles.
- Drive discussions on continuous improvement of test strategies and tools.
- Lead by example, advocating for writing reliable, maintainable automated tests.
All About YouTechnical & Automation Skills
- 5+ years of experience in test automation and software quality engineering.
- Proficiency in Java and Spring, with strong experience in API automation using RestAssured.
- UI automation experience with Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
- Solid understanding of performance testing with JMeter or similar tools.
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience testing relational databases.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating tests into Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Experience with TDD/BDD methodologies.
- Awareness of security and compliance testing, particularly in financial or fraud prevention applications.
