Senior Software Engineer, Automation & DevOps

Founded by Mastercard and IBM in 2018, Trūata specializes in privacy-enhancing technologies for privacy risk assessment, de-identification, and true anonymization of data. We were one of the first companies in the EU to receive independently accredited ISO 27701 certification, the international standard for data privacy management. In 2023, Mastercard acquired full ownership of Trūata with Trūata continuaing to operate as an independent entity within the Mastercard Data and AI Strategy organisation.
Trūata is now recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer, Automation & DevOps to join their Engineering team based in Dublin, Ireland.
The Role
You will be a key member of the DevOps & QA team within Engineering who are responsible for the configuration and deployment of our software products across multiple cloud environments and several custom deployment projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Broad remit of scope across all of Truata Engineering initiatives.
• Strategic road mapping for the medium to long term
• Solution design of multi-component application deployments
• Creation and maintenance of base images for cloud, marketplace and custom deployments
• Working with internal and external technical teams to facilitate custom integration solutions
• Working closely with the wider application development and QA teams to ensure timely delivery of our product
• Working with our Platform team to ensure we have best of breed automation and environment management.
• Close working relationship with the security team to promote, implement and champion security best practices for our application packaging and deployment
What you need:
• University degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent
• 3-5 years hands-on experience in DevOps, Release Engineering or Software Packaging and release
• 2+ years of hands-on experience of Docker and CI/CD Pipelines
• Experience in build pipelines, e.g GitLab, Jenkins
• Experience in working in an Agile environment with a DevOps mindset working across multiple teams
• Demonstrable CI/CD and IAC skills
• Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure/Kubernetes/AKS
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code / Configuration as Code technology e.g Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, CloudFormation, etc.
• Experience with Atlassian JIRA, Bitbucket and Confluence
• Proficient in scripting such as Bash or Python
• Previous Automation experience is key!
