The Senior Scientific Engagement Manager leads the end-to-end delivery, from briefing through to completion (planning, project management, execution virtually/in person), of different types of scientific events and engagements. Deliverables include (but are not limited to) advisory boards, Steering Committee meetings, satellite symposia and ancillary congress meetings.


 

Job Description

The remit of accountabilities extends to assuring the compliant and timely delivery of high-quality Scientific Engagements, whilst deploying innovative approaches and digital technologies for heightened efficiency and impact

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading the end-end delivery of high-quality, impactful scientific engagements across Medical Affairs, including, but not limited to, advisory boards, Steering Committee meetings, satellite symposia and ancillary congress meetings; set clear priorities and drive operational excellence.

  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project execution, utilizing appropriate tools to track progress, manage risks, communicate with stakeholders, and ensure business needs are met 

  • Identify and lead innovative approaches, including the adoption of digital tools and platforms, to expand the reach and impact of scientific engagement activities, partnering with integrated insights and Business Operation teams

  • Act as main point of contact and SME for delivery of assigned programs/engagements ensuring seamless cross functional and cross divisional collaboration .

  • Closely partner with internal colleagues across Portfolio Scientific Communication, Global Publications and Foundational Content and Medical Society Congress teams; define and support management of content requirements, review steps  

Requirements:  

  • Minimum: University degree level / Graduate degree, ideally in science. Additional further education desirable .

    2 to 5 years’ experience of working with Medical Communications for either an agency or from within the pharmaceutical industry.

    Ability to co-lead project teams of moderate complexity; strong teamwork and collaboration skills .

    Fluent English (oral and written) .
