Senior Product Manager - AI & Data

As a Senior Product Manager for Rapid7's AI & Data Platform, you will define and execute the strategy for how AI and data power the unified experiences of Rapid7's Command Platform. You'll lead cross-functional efforts to build the foundational AI capabilities, governance frameworks, and data services that enable product teams across Rapid7 to deliver intelligent, secure, and scalable customer experiences.
About the Team
The AI & Data Platform team builds the infrastructure and capabilities that make AI and data work seamlessly across Rapid7's ecosystem. We partner with the AI Center of Excellence (CoE), engineering, and product teams to deliver the platform services that underpin AI model development, governance, and deployment. Our mission is to ensure that every AI-driven experience - from summarization to automation to contextual insights - is built on a trusted, well-governed, and scalable foundation that supports the entire Command Platform.
About the Role
As Senior Product Manager, AI & Data Platform, your primary responsibility will be to define and deliver the AI platform strategy, working closely with the AI CoE to operationalize capabilities that enable consistent, secure, and reusable AI across Rapid7's products. This role also focuses on AI and data infrastructure that underpins our unified platform experiences, ensuring Rapid7's Command Platform can scale AI safely and effectively. Specifically, your focus will be to:

• Own the AI & Data Platform roadmap: Define and drive the roadmap that delivers the foundational AI and data capabilities powering Rapid7's Command Platform. Ensure strong alignment across product, engineering, and the AI CoE, enabling scalable, secure, and reusable AI across Rapid7's products.
• Translate company-wide data and AI needs into actionable priorities: Gather and synthesize requirements from engineering, product, MDR, and go-to-market teams to create a unified backlog of initiatives that drive scalability, security, and innovation across the platform.
• Define use cases and requirements for core data and AI systems: Partner with stakeholders to determine how platform data and AI models are made available, reusable, and governable at scale-supporting use cases such as customer insights, automation, product analytics, and cross-product intelligence.
• Provide clear product direction and trade-off decisions: Ensure engineering teams have clarity on priorities and context, making timely trade-offs that keep initiatives aligned with business goals, platform milestones, and long-term technical strategy.
• Drive release, adoption, and iteration: Ensure new AI and data capabilities are launched effectively and adopted across product teams. Measure impact, collect feedback, and iterate to continuously improve platform usability, performance, and value delivery.
• Enable customer-facing experiences through platform excellence: Work closely with other product managers to ensure the AI & Data Platform delivers high-quality, well-structured data and reusable AI services that power consistent, intelligent customer experiences across Rapid7's portfolio.
• Support AI readiness and governance: Build the foundation for trusted, compliant, and explainable AI across Rapid7. Define standards for model management, data quality, and responsible AI to ensure the platform can securely support current and future AI use cases.

The skills and qualities you'll bring include:

• 5+ years of product management experience in SaaS, data platforms, AI/ML infrastructure, or large-scale platform products
• Deep understanding of AI platform concepts, including model lifecycle management, governance, observability, and responsible AI practices
• Strong technical aptitude and experience with data lakes, data pipelines, and modern data architectures that enable analytics and AI workloads
• Experience working with data engineering, ML engineering, or AI research teams to operationalize AI systems at scale
• Proven success in building platform-level capabilities that support multiple product teams and use cases
• Ability to translate strategic initiatives into clear, executable roadmaps with measurable business outcomes
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
• Familiarity with security, privacy, and compliance considerations in enterprise AI and data development
