The Senior Power Platform Developer will design, develop, and maintain custom business applications using Microsoft Power Platform technologies, integrate solutions, and support existing applications.
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Power Platform Developer to build and maintain custom business applications. This contract role is available on a hybrid or remote working arrangement. Applicants must be based in Ireland or the UK.
The ideal candidate should be a skilled and proactive Power Platform Developer and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business-critical applications using Microsoft Power Platform technologies. This role requires strong experience in C#, PowerApps Component Framework (PCF), Model-Driven Apps, and SharePoint integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable solutions using PowerApps, particularly Model-Driven Applications.
- Build custom PCF controls to extend PowerApps functionality.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint, Dataverse, APIs, and other Microsoft 365 services.
- Develop and maintain backend services using C# and .NET.
- Implement data integration and ETL processes using KingswaySoft and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure solutions are secure, performant, and aligned with best practices.
- Provide support and maintenance for existing applications.
- Document technical designs, configurations, and code.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in Microsoft Power Platform, especially Model-Driven Apps.
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Framework/Core.
- Hands-on experience with PCF control development.
- Solid understanding of SharePoint Online and its integration with PowerApps.
- Experience with KingswaySoft for data integration and ETL processes. (desirable)
- Familiarity with Dataverse, Power Automate, and Azure Logic Apps.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and React (for PCF controls).
- Experience with REST APIs, OData, and Webhooks.
- Understanding of ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) in Power Platform environments.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365 and its customisation.
- Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and analytics.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., PL-400, PL-600) are a plus.
