FREENOW, Ireland’s leading taxi app, empowers smarter mobility decisions, helping people move freely. We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior Operations Manager to help lead our Ireland Operations team and drive growth, solidifying our market leadership. This role involves direct management of the Ireland Operations team, extensive collaboration with central teams (e.g., Central Operations, Product, Marketplace Performance, Business Analytics), and representing FREENOW with external stakeholders.

YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Strategic Growth & Expansion: Spearhead FREENOW’s organic and inorganic growth strategies within Ireland, ensuring seamless integration and market expansion.
  • Commercial Leadership: Represent FREENOW in high-level commercial negotiations and partnerships, cultivating strong market presence and relationships.
  • Data-Driven Optimisation: Develop and execute analytical and commercial strategies, leveraging data insights to optimise business performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Financial Planning & Investment: Contribute to financial and budget planning, developing compelling investment cases to support strategic growth initiatives.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of operations professionals, setting clear targets, implementing effective strategies, and fostering individual development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Marketplace Performance, Business Analytics, and other relevant teams to drive operational excellence and enhance business development.
  • Driver Advocacy: Serve as a key advocate for Irish drivers, representing their needs and perspectives to senior management and central stakeholders. Act as a trusted advisor and sparring partner for other members of the Irish management team.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Tech, Operations, or Consulting/Strategy, with a demonstrable track record of success in leading teams within high-growth, startup, or scale-up environments.
  • Proven ability to manage performance, drive change, and develop talent within diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively influence and negotiate with external stakeholders.
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a strong business acumen and the ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities.
  • Experience with customer lifecycle management within the mobility or related industries.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and automation frameworks. Knowledge of Tableau, Python, or SQL is a plus.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with Product and Tech teams to define operational requirements.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in mobility, logistics, marketplaces, or other relevant sectors.
  • Experience working in startup companies and/or fast-paced, dynamic environments.
