Senior Operations Manager, Transfer Agency AML and Registration Services, Vice President

The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior operations leader with a strong financial services background, proven people management capability, and the ability to lead AML, KYC and Registration Services teams in a fast-paced, risk-focused and client-driven environment. The role requires Transfer Agency, AML and Registration knowledge, senior stakeholder management, sound judgement, and the ability to drive service quality, regulatory control discipline, operational resilience and continuous improvement.

What you will be responsible for 

As a Vice President / Senior Operations Manager in the Transfer Agency AML & Registration Services team, you will:

• Provide senior leadership and direction to operational teams, including direct management of managers and staff, regular coaching, performance oversight, succession planning and talent development. 

• Own the end-to-end delivery of AML, KYC, investor onboarding, account opening, investor maintenance and registration activity, screening & transaction monitoring ensuring accuracy, timeliness, adherence to regulatory and internal control requirements, and effective prioritisation across competing deadlines. 

• Lead governance over AML and registration deliverables, including client onboarding, due diligence refresh activity, screening & transaction monitoring exceptions, investor documentation, service deliverables, operational readiness activities and change initiatives. 

• Partner closely with Compliance, Financial Crime, Risk, Legal, Client Service, Product, Technology and other Transfer Agency business units to drive consistent, controlled and scalable AML and registration operating practices. 

• Develop and maintain strong senior-level relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as an escalation point and trusted operational partner for client, risk and regulatory matters. 

• Lead the resolution of control issues, ensuring root cause analysis, effective remediation, clear stakeholder communication and sustainable preventative actions. 

• Drive strategic projects, operating model improvements, automation opportunities, the evolution of the screening & transaction monitoring process and transformation initiatives that enhance AML and registration service quality, reduce risk, improve efficiency and support business growth.

Education & Preferred Qualifications 

• BS/BA required; relevant professional qualification or equivalent senior operational experience desirable. 

• Typically 8+ years of financial services experience, including significant Transfer Agency, operations, risk, client service, continuous process improvements and people management experience.
