We are looking for a Marketing Automation Specialist to support and execute integrated demand generation programs. In this role, you will work closely with internal and external teams to create, optimize, report, and manage demand marketing automation initiatives. 

As a member of Okta’s Global Marketing Automation team, you’ll help drive best practices throughout multiple types of marketing campaigns, build and define target audience lists, determine personalization strategies, launch emails, and build campaigns in Marketo and Salesforce, among other marketing technologies.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong passion for communication and identifying opportunities across marketing functions. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to balance the importance of operational infrastructure with global marketing initiatives and communicate to stakeholders the processes that tie these worlds together. You should be comfortable handling multiple initiatives simultaneously and prioritizing accordingly to contribute to ambitious growth plans. This role is great for you if you are organized, analytical, and data-driven, and interested in supporting various campaigns and emails.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the multiple marketing and product marketing teams, such as Global Campaigns and Developer Relations, to deliver highly effective demand generation, event, and advocacy/loyalty programs. 
  • Collaborating with various internal stakeholders to build, test, and execute email segmentation, reporting, and set-up of campaigns.
  • Monitoring campaigns and their effectiveness, with a strong attention to detail and analytical focus required.
  • Integrating data from various sources and tools to optimize content and messaging in nurture programs by behaviors and personas.
  • Creating email campaigns and landing pages in accordance with branding guidelines.
  • Updating marketing campaign workflows as changes to business requirements dictate.
  • Supporting marketing team in analyzing and reporting marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic, etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies and provide feedback.
  • Building custom Salesforce campaigns to guide and advise campaign performance.
  • Overseeing campaign setup and data flow from Marketo to Salesforce to ensure the integrations are activated for the right programs, and that lead and responses are routing and scoring properly across our tech stack.

You would be a great fit for this role if you have:

  • 4+ years of experience in Database, Marketing Automation/Operations or similar.
  • Subject matter expertise in email marketing best practices
  • Experience building and deploying product/promotional go-to-market and optimization strategies with an emphasis on marketing tech implementations, messaging, and A/B testing
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Marketo
  • Experience with troubleshooting systems, processes, and data issues
  • Impeccable attention to detail and committed to quality work.
  • Strong project management skills are required, with the ability to connect the dots across teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/processes at one time
  • BS/BA or equivalent required

And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following!

  • Marketo Certified Expert
  • Experience in other common martech, like Outreach, Splash, Folloze, Litmus
  • Marketing Automation, Campaign Operations or a similar role at a B2B, SaaS company
