Job Description:

The Senior Manager, International Privacy, will provide both proactive and reactive support to the firm on all aspects of privacy readiness and compliance. Lead and partner with key stakeholders to champion privacy best practices and ensure global privacy law and regulatory compliance, with a strong focus on the GDPR, for a highly regulated business. As the firm’s Data Protection Representative in Ireland, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting enterprise objectives and driving business growth by: 

  • Conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) to safeguard data and ensure compliance. 
  • Maintaining Records of Processing Activities (ROPAs) for international locations, promoting transparency and accountability. 
  • Managing EU Data Subject requests with precision and care, protecting individual rights. 
  • Leveraging your expertise to advise the business and regional leaders regarding privacy laws/matters and to assist with responses to regulatory inquiries. 
  • Creating and maintaining privacy policies that reflect our commitment to privacy and data protection. 
  • Developing global privacy training materials and communications to empower employees with knowledge and awareness of privacy issues. 
  • Developing KPIs/metrics and driving reporting processes to measure and enhance our privacy performance. 

 

The Expertise and Skills You Bring 

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in data privacy compliance, specializing in privacy program management, privacy frameworks (e.g., Nymity), and global data privacy requirements, with a strong emphasis on European Union (EU) regulations. Knowledge of the EU AI Act a plus. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Advanced degrees or certifications in data privacy (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM) are highly desirable. 
  • Proven program and project management expertise, demonstrated through successful oversight of privacy compliance initiatives across diverse business units and locations. 
  • Dedicated lifelong learner, committed to expanding skillsets by actively monitoring advancements in privacy regulations and technologies, and understanding their implications for the firm. 
  • Collaborative partner and advisor, capable of engaging in constructive dialogue with integrity and strength of character, providing sound advice, expressing opinions and respectfully challenging differing viewpoints.
