Senior Manager, International Deal DeskDublin, Ireland (Hybrid: 3 days p/wk)
Klaviyo is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to establish and lead the international expansion of our Deal Desk team. This role will be our first international Deal Desk hire. As our Senior Manager, International Deal Desk you will guide our International Deal Desk team while partnering closely with our North American Deal Desk and Deal Strategy teams to ensure the effectiveness of our quoting and deal structuring processes.
In this high-visibility role, you will oversee initiatives that promote operational excellence, improve collaboration across teams, and drive impactful decision-making to enhance our sales activities. This role will be an important part of driving the contracting process forward at Klaviyo in a way that directly impacts revenue, cash flow, and profitability.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, have a strong understanding of contract negotiation, be able to successfully operate independently and without significant oversight, and will have demonstrated success managing and scaling a Deal Desk team and developing and documenting strategies and process improvements.
How You Will Make a Difference:
  • Represent Deal Desk in EMEA at Klaviyo and operate as the key leader and point of contact for EMEA go-to-market teams
  • Collaborate with EMEA and APAC GTM leadership, as well as our North American based Deal Strategy team, to model business cases behind international initiatives, such as mid-market acceleration strategies and expansion into new markets. Partner with GTM Ops to track progress against international initiatives
  • Lead and manage Deal Desk Specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Klaviyo's pricing models to provide deal structuring and quoting support to our global sales teams
  • Advise on non-standard and/ or complex deal structure requests; ensuring all required approvals are obtained and documented while verifying alignment with strategic objectives and compliance with legal & accounting requirements
  • Partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Legal, Finance, Systems, Sales Ops, and other stakeholders to ensure thorough communication throughout the deal cycle
  • Review approval requests on quotes for discounting, billing, and other aspects of deal structure requiring oversight
  • Drive the establishment of scalable processes for contracting that improve operational efficiency and facilitate deal closure, while working closely with the North American Deal Desk and Deal Strategy teams to ensure global alignment
  • Maintain process documentation across opportunity to order
  • Perform ongoing review & analysis of key deal metrics to provide business insights and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Conduct training sessions with the Sales and Customer Success teams to ensure they are equipped to navigate the quoting and contracting process

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA is a plus
  • 5+ years of software industry experience (Deal Desk, Finance, Sales Operations)
  • Prior experience managing a Deal Desk team, strongly preferred, preferably within a technology or fast growing company environment
  • Familiarity with SaaS business models, pricing philosophies, and revenue recognition principles
  • Experience drafting and negotiating software contracts; having demonstrated the ability to review discounting and other non-standard requests and make quality business decisions with sound judgment
  • Experience with CRM, CPQ and CLM systems and the ability to create and analyse ad-hoc reports
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision making and problem solving
  • Proven ability to lead with empathy, motivate, mentor, and develop talent while building positive, meaningful relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences, up to the executive level
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure; diligent with deliverables and deadlines, able to multitask
  • Previous experience with process improvement and change management

Our salary range reflects the cost of labour in the country where the job post is advertised. The base salary offered for this position is determined by several factors, including the applicant's job-related skills, relevant experience, education or training, and work location.
In addition to base salary, our total compensation package may include participation in the company's annual cash bonus plan, variable compensation (OTE) for sales and customer success roles, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility. Base Pay Range in Local Currency:
