Purpose of the role:As the EMEA Equipment leader, you will shape equipment market development and expansion across EMEA, identifying opportunities partnering to implement go-to-market strategies. You will commercialize new products, influence Global Strategy, and orchestrate launches with integrated considerations for surgeon engagement, market access, supply chain and pricing, all while driving portfolio profitability. You will lead cross-functional collaboration with Commercial, Insights, S&IMC, Professional Education, local marketing and global strategic marketing to deliver growth.Duties:

·         Facilitate and drive EMEA Equipment strategy partnering with Clinical Services, Tech Service & Commercial

·         Drive strategic market development and expansion by:

o   Conducting research (in partnership with Global Business Intelligence) and in-market interviews to establish potential growth opportunities, especially in CEEMA

o   Identifying new opportunities, building partnerships, and executing go-to-market strategies to grow the company's presence and revenue in target markets

o   Build key account strategy, together with local market and Commercial Excellence team

o   Evaluate new business opportunities, partnering with Business Development to assess and strategizing across the region about deployment opportunities

o   Facilitate messaging and positioning to mitigate downsides with new competitive innovation

o   Develop and align positioning & integrated communication plan for implementation across the region

·         Facilitate and drive EMEA Equipment strategy partnering with Clinical Services, Tech Service & Commercial

·         Commercialize new products to drive portfolio growth

o   Influence the Global Strategy & Pipeline team to ensure that EMEA market needs are considered

o   Develop launch strategies that integrate market access, supply chain, pricing, professional education, clinical services, technical services, commercial training, and communication as well as KOL feedback and advocacy

o   Create a cohesive regional launch plan and drive LEX process across key launch countries – aligning steps with, and in close collaboration with, SC NPI processes

o   Adapt LEX processes to meet needs of future equipment launches, while also influencing change globally and implementing change locally in the tLMR->cLMR->FMR process

o   Collaborate proactively with regional and country partners to deliver launch plans

o   Successfully apply digital strategies and other innovative approaches

·         Partners on insight development with the Insights & Analytics team for key launch products; conducts advanced analysis at each stage of the launch excellence process and generates summary reports on key performance indicators once products launch

·         Responsible for the marketing of our equipment portfolio, including phaco, laser cataract, refractive surgical equipment, and dry eye portfolio

o   Develop and execute the regional portfolio strategy based on market and customer insights

o   Drive portfolio rationalization and prioritization

o   Establish pricing strategies to maximize portfolio profitability and market share, including regular pricing reviews with data supported from the CommEx team

o   Partner with, proactively influence, and enable Country Marketing & Sales organizations for effective deployment to execute the marketing plan

o   Build relationships with key opinion leaders

o   Implement new tools from S&IMC team to streamline in-market marketing work

o   Creative agency management

·         Manage the portfolio financial performance to achieve business plan goals

o   Analyse and improve top line and profitability performance

o   Set budget and assess marketing spend effectiveness

·         Collaborate and engage with JJSV EMEA Marketing team and cross-functional partners

o   EMEA: Supply Chain, Market Access, Commercial Training, Professional Education, Professional Services; Global Strategic Marketing

o   Relationship building to enable country marketing and influence over plans

Who are we looking for?

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required.

  • A minimum of 10 years relevant business experience.

  • A minimum of 6 years progressive marketing experience or commercial experience with a consistent track record of business results is required
