Title and Summary

Senior Learning Experience Designer (Data & Tech)

Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Learning Experience Designer (LXD) to play a pivotal role in crafting impactful learning experiences, breaking new ground and leading with a consultative mindset. Working in collaboration with senior engineering SMEs, Program Managers, and other key stakeholders, the ideal candidate can deliver for technical learning cohorts within our Mastercard Data & Tech Learning Academy.
Their primary responsibility is to develop effective learning experiences that help us drive strategic business objectives while meeting the diverse needs of our learners.
Role:
Analysis:
o Collaborate and consult with Program Managers/Stakeholders to understand training needs, learner profiles, and performance gaps.
o Conduct learning needs analysis (LNAs) to customize learning paths and strategies.
o Adapt & maintain existing training materials, including internally created content and content libraries.
Design:
o Partner with our Data & Tech Academy Program Managers, SMEs, and other stakeholders to prototype and build end-to-end experiences, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
o Choose appropriate instructional design modalities (beyond just e-learning) for content development and implementation, considering scalability, and maintenance.
o Draft design documents, such as curriculum maps, course outlines, storyboards and learning objectives
o Curate content libraries and maintaining content improvements and updates.
o Implement agile methodologies, using iterative development and feedback loops to continuously enhance learning assets.
Development:
o Build engaging, effective, and interactive learning experiences using authoring tools.
o Implement product management methodologies to manage content iterations, prioritize updates based on user feedback, and ensure alignment with broader business objectives.
o Explore new tools and methodologies to break new ground.
Implementation:
o Partner with the Program Manager to ensure smooth rollout of learning experiences to support during the initial launch of training programs.
o Train facilitators or trainers as necessary.
o Test and refine course materials based on feedback from beta tests or pilot sessions, using analytics and user behaviour metrics to inform refinements.
o Iterate on user feedback, employing agile product management practices to continuously evolve and enhance learning offerings.
Evaluation:
o Gather feedback from learners and stakeholders post-training to assess the effectiveness of learning experiences.
o Collaborate with PMs to analyze key metrics - NPS/KPI.
o Implement revisions based on evaluation findings to ensure continuous improvement.
All About You:
3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fintech/tech environment

Proven record of accomplishment developing learning for Technical development programs
Expert level knowledge of Learning authoring tools:
o Articulate - Rise & Storyline (Or similar)
o LMS Platforms (Cornerstone/Degreed/Absorb etc.)
Ideal experience/skillset/qualifications:
o Graphic design (Adobe Illustrator/Canva/Figma)
o Video Production (Adobe Premiere Pro/Camtasia/Synthesia)
o Copywriting abilities
Exceptional organization and project management skills
o Comfortable using PM Tools, E.G. Monday.com/Asana/Jira etc.
Self-directed and comfortable working within a distributed team.
Strong ability to influence across teams and build partnerships that drive business outcomes.
Strong communication, and interpersonal skills (presentation & consultancy and training evaluation skills.)
Expert knowledge of principles and methods for designing and delivering training material.
