The Role
As a Senior Java Engineer, you will design and deliver robust backend solutions using modern microservices architectures. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll help shape scalable systems in cloud-native environments, contributing to innovative digital platforms for leading financial institutions.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop backend services using Java and modern microservices frameworks
- Build scalable, cloud-native applications leveraging AWS services
- Contribute to architecture decisions, including event-driven and CQRS patterns
- Develop high-quality, maintainable code with a focus on performance and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
Key Technologies: Java, AWS, microservices, CQRS, Micronaut
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in backend engineering using Java and microservices architectures
- Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native development
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture and CQRS principles
- Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot or Micronaut
- Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing and CI/CD
Bonus Points For
- Experience working within financial services or consulting environments
- Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka or similar technologies
- Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience contributing to system design and architecture discussions
- Experience supporting or mentoring other engineers
