Quento Technologies seeks a highly motivated and experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our team and help us build reliable, scalable backend services. You will work with modern Java technologies, cloud-native tools, and distributed systems.
Your responsibilities will entail:
- Develop backend services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot;
- Build and maintain REST and gRPC APIs;
- Develop cloud-native applications on Azure, including deployments on AKS (Kubernetes);
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases;
- Use Kafka for asynchronous messaging;
- Implement caching solutions such as Redis;
- Create and maintain unit tests;
- Use Docker and CI/CD pipelines for building and deploying services;
- Troubleshoot and improve performance of existing services;
- Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in backend development;
- Strong knowledge of Java (17+) and Spring Boot;
- Experience with Azure and Kubernetes/AKS;
- Good understanding of REST and gRPC;
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases;
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems;
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines;
- Familiarity with caching tools like Redis;
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
