As a Senior IT Network Engineer you will provide support to design, deploy, and configure proof-of-concept and prototype infrastructure environments. Services provided will include troubleshooting, network designs, implementation, and other related tasks

A Day in the Life of a Senior IT Network Engineer at Qualco will include:

  • Provides 2nd level support in incident or problem management activities involving network infrastructure;
  • Manages the availability of assigned network resources, as well as proactively identifying and resolving failures and/or problems;
  • Performs technical activities such as maintenance, upgrades and other activities associated with network infrastructure;
  • Implements network infrastructure monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure they meet service level targets in accordance with company security directives;
  • Maintains network security by implementing and configuring security controls and measures such as firewalls, network traffic analysis systems, and intrusion detection system;
  • Communicate with vendors and other IT personnel to resolve problems;
  • Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.
Requirements
  • Work experience of 3+ years in implementation, troubleshooting and management of data networks;
  • A bachelor’s or a master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science and Engineering or in any other related discipline;
  • Certifications in corresponding networking technologies and especially CISCO (CCNA, CCNP) and Checkpoint (CCSA, CCSE) equipment in professional level;
  • Experience and knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (OSPF, BGP, STP, VLANs, EtherChannel, QoS, etc.);
  • Experience and knowledge of network security components (Firewall, VPN, Network Access Control, Certificate management, etc.);
  • Knowledge in WiFi networks;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
