What you will do
Reporting to Global Creative’s Head of Design, you will lead creative projects and help shape the visual direction of campaigns and assets. You’ll balance hands-on design with strategic thinking, mentoring others and pushing the creative standard forward in Johnson Controls.
How you will do it
- Lead concept development and visual execution for high-impact campaigns.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into compelling design.
- Provide design direction and feedback to junior and middleweight designers.
- Champion brand consistency while exploring new creative possibilities within guidelines.
- Present design rationale to marketing and brand partners.
- Stay informed on industry trends and bring fresh thinking to the team.
- Champion resource planning and project prioritization in Wrike.
- Ability to think strategically and act tactically in order to align Global Creative’s content services with customer needs.
What we look for:
- 6+ years of design experience, ideally in an in-house or agency setting.
- Proven ability to lead projects and mentor others.
- Strong conceptual thinking and visual storytelling skills.
- Ability to handle many issues, items and functions at one time and deal rapidly with multiple items in prioritized sequence; flexibility and adaptability are strengths of yours.
- Demonstrated analytical and strategic approach to problem solving.
- Tact, diplomacy and clearness in written and spoken communication – our colleagues are our partners.
- Confident communicator and collaborator.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- The ability to excel working in a virtual or hybrid, high-growth, matrix-managed, geographically dispersed organization.
- Ability to work with ambiguity – strength in balancing strategic and tactical execution.
- Values diversity when leading projects.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic or communication design, digital media, visual communication or related field (MA a plus).
