About the Role:
The Sr. Global Payroll Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of payroll accounting across multiple international entities. This position requires a deep understanding of global payroll processes, reconciliations, and accounting principles. The role is responsible for managing payroll entries in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP, ensuring proper classification of payroll expenses, and maintaining strong internal controls.
Additionally, the Sr. Global Payroll Accountant will be responsible for overseeing payroll-related journal entries, variance analysis, and reconciliations between payroll systems and financial statements. This role requires collaboration with external payroll providers, HR, FP&A, and auditors to ensure payroll accounting aligns with financial reporting requirements and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in managing complex payroll structures, and expertise in multi-entity payroll accounting.
This is a key role in enhancing payroll processes, ensuring financial integrity, and driving automation to streamline payroll accounting operations across the organization.
What you'll be doing:
Manage and oversee payroll accounting for multiple international entities, ensuring accurate classification and recording of payroll-related transactions in compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
Perform payroll-related journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis, ensuring alignment between payroll records and financial statements.
Oversee and review payroll prepared by third-party providers, ensuring proper accounting treatment, compliance with tax and labor laws, and reconciliation with the general ledger.
Collaborate with HR, FP&A, and auditors to ensure payroll-related costs, benefits, and commissions are accurately accounted for in financial statements.
Drive process improvements and automation in payroll accounting, implementing best practices for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
What you bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong expertise in payroll accounting, including experience with multi-entity payroll journal entries and reconciliations.
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and payroll software (e.g., Gusto, ADP, Workday).
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret payroll data and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.
Experience managing payroll-related audits and ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements.
Ability and/or willingness to use our product.
Nice-to-haves:
CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience working with multi-country payroll processing, including knowledge of tax regulations in the U.S., UK, Germany, and Singapore.
Prior experience in driving automation initiatives for payroll accounting and reporting.

We offer competitive, fair, and transparent compensation. Salary ranges are location-based, with Standard and Major markets (global tech hubs) reflecting local competition.
The Annual Total Target Cash (base salary + 100% variable target, where applicable) shown below spans from the minimum in a Standard market to the maximum in a Major market. Final offers depend on skills, experience, and location, and we typically hire in the first half of the range to allow room for growth:
United States: $109,000.00 to $179,900.00
Germany: €70,500.00 to €116,500.00
United Kingdom: £68,500.00 to £112,600.00
Singapore: S$135,400.00 to S$203,100
