Senior Game Designer - Survival Game
We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Senior Game Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing engaging open-world or battle royale experiences, specifically in the context of Rust-like survival games on console or PC. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and iterating on core gameplay features, level layouts, and mission structures that enhance player immersion and retention. This is a fully remote position with no time zone preference.

Responsibilities:
- Design and prototype compelling large-scale open-world maps and survival game content, including NPC systems (enemies, wildlife), landmark design layout & integration, lootable content, and resource implementation & balancing.
- Be directly hands-on in prototyping, tuning, and implementing survival systems (NPC AI, loot economy, resource balance, landmark logic).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (art, engineering, audio, QA) to ensure design vision is realized.
- Create detailed design documentation, including GDDs, flowcharts, and wireframes.
- Iterate on designs based on playtesting feedback, data analysis, and market trends.
- Champion player experience and ensure a high level of polish and quality.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Report to the Lead Game Designer and work closely with the Creative Director on the vision of the game.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in game design, with a focus on survival, open-world, or battle royale genres.
- Proven track record of shipping successful titles on console or PC.
- Expertise in level design, system design, and content creation tools.
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine, specifically for creating large map content.
- Strong understanding of player psychology, emergent gameplay, and monetization strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.

Bonus Points:
- Experience with blueprint scripting or C++
- Knowledge of animation systems
- Proficiency with procedural systems like PCG

 Location:
100% remote
