What you'll do: 

As a Senior Fund Financial Analyst at Vanguard, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Global Fund Accounting (GFA) Europe Product team by applying your subject matter expertise around activities that influence fund accounting valuations. Your ability to identify and resolve complex operational issues will be crucial in ensuring the smooth functioning of the team. You will also support the GFA ETF Administration function by acting as a reviewer and escalation point for daily operational duties. Your keen eye for identifying operational process gaps will contribute significantly towards enhancing working practices. Furthermore, you will take ownership of fund initiatives such as ETF launches that impact the team. Your role will also involve leading business-critical projects by conducting comprehensive impact analyses, recommending suitable solutions, and participating in the implementation process. 
 

• Support the Global Fund Accounting (GFA) Europe Product and GFA ETF Administration teams in achieving daily and ad hoc deliverables. 

• Identify and resolve complex operational issues independently. 

• Act as a reviewer and escalation point for daily operational duties within the GFA ETF Administration function. 

• Oversee the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation of all procedures. 

• Lead business critical projects by completing comprehensive impact analyses, recommending appropriate solutions, and participating in the implementation process. 

• Identify process improvement opportunities and propose solutions to senior management. 

• Collect and report on VUE metrics, maintain effective controls to mitigate risk, ensure contingency preparedness, support new product launches related to corporate actions accounting. 
   

What you bring: 

As a Senior Fund Financial Analyst at Vanguard, you bring a wealth of industry experience along with a strong academic background in Accounting or Finance. Your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, will enable you to effectively liaise with various business partners. Your analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with your attention to detail, will be instrumental in identifying and resolving complex operational issues. Your proven ability to function in a fast-paced environment will ensure that you can manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. Your leadership and interpersonal skills will enable you to motivate your team and interact effectively with management at various levels. 

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience; Bachelor's degree (Accounting/Finance) preferred. 

• Minimum three years general experience and 3 years industry experience. 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills. 

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills with attention to detail. 

• Proven ability to analyze issues quickly and independently under tight time constraints. 

• Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced environment with multiple business partners and diverse responsibilities. 

• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, motivational skills with ability to interact with various levels of management. 

• Experience in computer applications such as Excel, Access and Word is preferred.
