To help achieve this mission, Toast is expanding and growing into new countries like the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Canada. Critical to our expansion is solving a key challenge for our customers around Food & Beverage (F&B) inventory and stock management.
As an engineer on the International Inventory team you will help deliver a best-in-class stock management system for our UK, Irish & Canadian markets. In doing so you will work with a number of teams across Toast, including R&D, Marketing, Onboarding and Customer teams
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Deliver a best-in-class Inventory management product for Toast's SMB customers
- Work directly with pilot customers (sometimes in the restaurant!) to ensure successful delivery and operation
- Collaborate with the team to plan and estimate work
- Collaborate with teams across Toast, such as R&D, customer support and new customer onboarding
- Mentor other team members
- Work with other frontend engineers across Toast to implement industry best practices
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- Highly proficient in modern Javascript technologies, such as React/Angular/Vue and TypeScript
- Experience with CSS and CSS frameworks
- Enjoys building well-engineered, usable and accessible systems
- Passionate about making users happy and seeing people use your product in the wild
- Ability to embrace an agile mindset focused on delivering usable software
- Experience implementing component testing and E2E testing
- Strong fundamentals of API principals (REST/GraphQL) and integration with frontend applications

- Experience with localisation, internationalization and translation frameworks
- Experience with Accessibility frameworks
