Your mission: 

We are seeking a Front-End Developer to build scalable, high-quality user interfaces using modern frameworks like React and Next.js. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional squads to deliver seamless user experiences and contribute to Chapter initiatives that foster technical excellence.

As part of our unique structure, you’ll participate in Chapter Weeks each quarter which are dedicated times for sharing knowledge, aligning on best practices, and driving innovation. We'd love to hear from you if you are passionate about crafting exceptional user interfaces and thrive in a collaborative environment.

You will tackle complex UI implementations, ensuring responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility. Collaborating on user interface design, you’ll integrate API functionality to deliver a seamless user experience. Additionally, you will continuously evaluate and enhance front-end processes, frameworks, and tools, keeping our product at the forefront of technological trends.

Due to the company's fast-paced growth, you will analyze and refine existing solutions, ensuring they remain efficient, maintainable, and scalable to meet evolving product and user needs.

What we will love about you: 

  • Advanced-level proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a strong foundation in modern front-end frameworks like React (including hooks) and Next.js.
  • Proven experience in designing and maintaining complex, large-scale user interfaces, including migrating legacy systems to modern, scalable, and maintainable frameworks.
  • Ability to ensure quality through unit testing and automated testing frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design principles, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility standards.
  • Familiarity with integrating APIs, ensuring seamless functionality and a high-quality user experience.
  • Experience with GraphQL and reactive programming principles or a strong willingness to learn and adopt these technologies.
  • Understanding of microservices-based front-end integration is nice to have.

        Onboarding goals / milestones:
        1 months

        • Familiarize with the architecture, including the front-end stack and its dependencies.
        • Build rapport with the design, product, and engineering teams, understanding the collaboration workflows.
        • Gain familiarity with the codebase, tools, and tech stack. Review existing networking implementations, caching, and third-party tools.
        • Complete a small, guided feature implementation to understand the development process.
        • Understand company goals and product vision.

            3 months

            • Collaborate with team members to enhance specific components or features, contributing independently to deliverables while aligning with team goals.
            • Contribute to improving the performance of the product.
            • Actively participate in code reviews and provide feedback.
            • Collaborate with the back-end team to implement and optimize APIs.

            6 months

            • Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing the front-end architecture and processes.
            • Actively participate in transitioning components to atomic structures, modernizing legacy tools, and exploring technologies like GraphQL, where feasible.
            • Begin taking ownership of smaller tasks within larger initiatives, with the support and guidance of the team, to build confidence and familiarity in leading efforts over time.
            • Provide architectural feedback to optimize front-end performance, stability, and maintainability.
            • Identify and propose technological advancements to improve the user experience.
            • Deliver significant, user-facing features that align with product OKRs.
