Senior Frontend Developer - Contract (Outside of IR35)

As a Frontend Developer, you will have the opportunity to build solutions that engage millions of sports fans worldwide. Working with a wide range of data sources and frontend technologies, building custom UI experiences for sports fans. You will progress your own skills and expertise along the way, sharing and learning new technologies and techniques across the team. At Pulselive, we pride ourselves in providing a collaborative environment that ensures we produce leading products across web and native applications.

  • Contractor

  • Outside of IR35

  • 3 Month Contract (Immediate Start)

  • Day Rate: £400 - 500 per day

Expert knowledge of

  • HTML and CSS (incl. SCSS/SASS)

  • Browser and device testing (inc. debugging)

  • Responsive web builds

  • Javascript ES6+ (vanilla essential)

  • GIT usage and code management

  • JSON data structures, and using APIs to GET and POST data

  • SSO systems integration (OIDC etc.)

  • JIRA usage for task/ticket management

  • Documenting front-end solutions and code

  • Integrating with and using third party libraries/applications (e.g. video providers)

Competent with

  • NPM and Bower dependency management

  • React/Preact, Redux

  • Web performance

  • Web accessibility

  • SEO considerations and techniques

  • Gulp workflow setup

  • CI/CD pipelines


Responsibilities

  • Being a self-sufficient individual contributor, breaking down work into manageable pieces, calling out blockers and dependencies and delivering solutions in a timely manner

  • Managing code releases to internal environments (dev, test); may also need to manage code release to external environments (production)

  • Producing code to a high standard that not only functions correctly but can be understood and extended by other members of the team and is in line with Pulselive development practices

  • Taking ownership of the design and implementation of solutions that meet requirements, ensuring they are secure and scalable

  • Showing good attention to detail in the final product, taking care and pride in what is produced

  • Communicating clearly to ensure the best possible solutions are built
