About the Role: You will be working in a cross-functional team, using agile methodologies to build on-prem and cloud native applications for the financial services industry. We are looking for true team players who can work beyond their specialty to help the team deliver. Every team member is responsible for the quality of the product and should be willing to work on any tasks needed, be it front-end, back end, test automation, deployment automation, etc… The succesful candidate will use their experience and talent to help drive the delivery of the system, introduce new tech and guide the evolution of our applications.

Job Duties in Brief: 

· Participate and contribute on all team activities such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Execution, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective

· Develop front end React components

· Be comfortable using relational and NoSQL databases and have strong knowledge of SQL

· Perform peer reviews and ensure the quality of the team’s work

· Design and implement unit, integration, and automation tests

· Responsible for code integration and code deployment of existing modules as well as provide new pipelines for new modules (CI/CD)

· Have strong background in AWS services and practices.

· Provide technical leadership to junior team members

· Break-down complex functionalities into granular tasks and stories

· Stay current on emerging technologies and be able to match them to Citco need when required

About You:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

· 5+ years of experience with software engineering

· 3+ years of experience with React and TypeScript

· Experience with Docker

· Solid understanding of HTML5, ES6, CSS3, JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks

· Experience with source code management such as GIT

· Experience working on Agile teams

· Solid understanding and demonstrated proficiency with core software development processes - debugging, code tuning, code management and branching, coding styles and refactoring

· Must be self-motivated and driven, with strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.

· Knowledge of financial industry, specially accounting / general ledger will be preferred.
