Senior Financial Accountant - 12-month fixed-term contract

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will carry out accounting responsibilities, including month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, supporting external financial audits, driving process improvements, and supporting the controls framework. This role involves ownership of specific accounting areas.

This is a hybrid role, offering a mix of remote and on-site work to provide flexibility and work-life balance.

What we can offer you: 

• Monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
• Journal preparation and posting.
• Balance sheet reconciliations – preparation of reconciliations for own areas and review of reconciliations for other areas.
• Analytical review of financials.
• External Audit Support.
• Ensuring controls are being completed.
• Develop and maintain documentation around procedures and controls.
• Develop and maintain accounting memos and policies.
• Lead finance projects as required.
• Drive and implement process improvement activities.
• Partner with departments outside of finance to successfully complete work/projects.

The skills you bring:

• Qualified Accountant with 5-10 years of experience.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.
• Strong understanding of financial systems, processes, and controls.
• Experience in the month-end close process.
• History of solving complex operational and accounting matters.
• Strong Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivots).
