We're looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager (Group Lead) to lead the Platform and Data group within Bob Finance - the foundation powering our next generation of financial planning and analytics capabilities.
This group builds and scales the systems that make Bob Finance secure, extensible, and performant - from the data ingestion and modeling engines, to the developer experience and infrastructure layers that enable seamless integration with HiBob's platform ecosystem.
Base salary for this role ranges from $195,500 - $265,405 USD per year. We will consider candidates who reside in the U.S. and Canada.

Job Requirements
- Physically located in EST!!!!
- 2+ years as a Group Lead or Senior Engineering Manager leading multiple teams and managers in a fast-paced SaaS or platform company.
- 10+ years of hands-on engineering experience, ideally spanning data infrastructure, backend services, and distributed systems.
- Proven success building and scaling data-heavy systems using technologies such as PostgreSQL, SingleStore, Snowflake, AWS, and Kafka .
- Experience designing and managing APIs across services or third-party integrations with strong attention to reliability and secure data flow.
- A strategic mindset - able to connect long-term architectural direction to immediate product and business impact.
- Excellent people leadership skills - you inspire trust, develop talent, and lead through influence and context, not control.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to drive alignment across distributed, global teams.
The following are a big plus
- Experience with Python , C#, .NET Core, or Java , and modern cloud-native frameworks.
- Deep curiosity for AI-driven development and observability tooling .
- Experience with AI-driven or agentic application frameworks.
- Background managing offshore or multi-geo engineering teams.
- Passion for data systems, developer velocity, and architectural evolution .
Job Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical vision for the Platform and Data group, ensuring Bob Finance scales efficiently as part of HiBob's unified ecosystem.
- Lead and mentor multiple team leaders and tech leads , fostering growth, accountability, and a culture of technical excellence.
- Drive platform reliability and performance , leading initiatives around - Connection pooling, schema evolution, database scaling etc.
- Own the platform of Bob Finance including - authentication, authorization, SSO, IDP integrations, and permission management.
- Own the evolution of the Data & Infrastructure architecture , including robust schema evolution management, ETL pipeline simplification, and deprecation of legacy systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, DevOps, and HiBob's central Platform teams to deliver a secure, efficient, and developer-friendly environment that supports rapid feature delivery.
- Shape and grow the group - define its structure, recruit top talent, and ensure each team has clear ownership and impact.
- Champion engineering excellence through measurable improvements in developer velocity, AI tooling, system stability, and operational visibility.
