What You Will Be Doing

ChargePoint is seeking an experienced Director, Channel Sales with a proven track record of winning and managing a growing channel ecosystem. This full-time position requires close collaboration with ChargePoint leadership and cross functional teams to drive channel revenue in Europe. The Channel Sales Director will scale our go-to-market channels and strategic partnerships. The candidate will enhance our channel program, hire and motivate top tier talent, drive consistency in our program development, and build strong executive relationships with our partners to make partner programs successful and scalable. This person must be a seasoned leader and have demonstrated strategic impact across a variety of roles; with equal parts strategy, operational excellence, and sales acumen.

  • Align with cross-functional leaders to ensure the right level of support is in place for our partners to be successful (product, support, finance, marketing, etc.)
  • Work closely with sales leaders to train and enable our sales teams to successfully work with channel partners]
  • Develop the channel strategy and program across Europe as a whole
  • Provide ongoing reporting & transparency on channel partner and partner manager performance/KPI metrics
  • Create growth-oriented sales plans with partner managers and regional sales leaders
  • Manage & develop executive level relationships with customers and partners
  • Prepare and present formal presentations for internal and external audiences
  • Work with ChargePoint and partner legal teams to structure and execute partnership and distribution agreements
  • Provide insights and guidance to sales enablement and sales operations to create world class partner experiences for partners of all sizes
  • Manage key logistical elements within the channel ecosystem including pipeline tracking, quoting, supply management, forecasting, & contractual negotiations
  • Ability to travel as much as 50% of the time
What You Will Bring to ChargePoint
  • Understanding of channel in EV charging or adjacent sector, electrical distribution and construction environment including political, social and legislative trends that shape buyer behavior
  • Ability to communicate effectively with distributors, resellers, and other key contacts to clearly articulate ChargePoint’s value proposition in the competitive EV landscape
  • Impactful presentation skills
  • Empowering leadership and mentorship style
  • Software/SaaS experience will be highly regarded
  • Ability to simplify the complex and create actionable progress
  • Experience with Salesforce, Partner Relationship Management (PRM), Microsoft Suite, Tableau
Requirements
  • 10+ Years’ experience in Channel sales management
  • Proven track record developing and negotiating strategic partnerships and alliances
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders across organizational lines and borders
  • Deep understanding of Partner Relationship Management (PRM) tools and enablement resources.
  • History leading/managing enterprise channel sales programs
  • High degree of financial acumen and understanding
  • Autonomous, team-player, self-motivated and influential
  • Experience building and leading diverse, high performing teams
  • University degree or equivalent work experience
