Role Summary:

The Senior Customer Analytics & Insights Specialist is a high-impact, hands-on role focused on understanding Smartbox beneficiaries (gift recipients) and translating insights into tangible business growth.

In this position, you will lead advanced analytics initiatives, inform strategic decisions across Product, Marketing, and Operations, and influence senior leadership through clear, data-driven recommendations.

This is a strategic individual contributor role suited to someone who excels at solving complex customer challenges, improving conversion and retention, and delivering measurable impact.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Customer & Product Analytics:

  • Develop models to analyse customer behaviour, pricing sensitivity, churn, lifetime value, and product performance
  • Generate actionable insights to improve conversion, retention, and overall customer experience
  • Collaborate closely with Product teams to test new features and enhance the beneficiary journey

 

Growth & Lifecycle Optimisation

  • Segment the customer base to inform targeted marketing, CRM strategies, and lifecycle campaigns
  • Design and analyse A/B tests to optimise promotions, pricing, and engagement strategies
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders

 

Stakeholder Influence

  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Operations, and Technology teams to align on strategy
  • Influence business decisions through evidence-based recommendations

 

Market & Competitor Insights

  • Monitor market trends, competitor behaviour, and industry shifts to inform strategy and modelling

 

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

Experience

  • 6+ years in customer analytics, insights, pricing, or related roles (ideally in e-commerce or consumer products)
  • Proven track record of influencing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders

Technical Skills

  • Advanced SQL (essential) for extracting, combining, and analysing complex datasets
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Python or R for advanced modelling (strong advantage)
  • Expertise in modelling techniques such as LTV, churn, RFM, propensity, and attribution

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
