Senior CI Specialist – Value Stream Bulk
Position Purpose

As Senior CI Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping the future performance of Value Stream Bulk by advancing the CSL Operating System (COS), driving a culture of continuous improvement, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Partnering closely with leaders and cross-functional teams, you will identify improvement opportunities, lead impactful initiatives, and translate strategic objectives into tangible business results. From shopfloor execution to performance management and digital transformation, you will help strengthen compliance, quality, safety, delivery, efficiency, and operational reliability.
As a trusted Continuous Improvement expert, you will empower teams, challenge the status quo, and deliver sustainable improvements that enhance both business performance and patient supply. Through your leadership, coaching, and hands-on approach, you will contribute to building a high-performing organization focused on excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
Reporting Relationships
Reports to: Senior Director, Head Value Stream Bulk
Key Interfaces: Manufacturing, QA, QC, Planning, Engineering, Training, Supply Chain, Operational Service, Global Operational Excellence
Functional Role: CI and COS Subject Matter Expert for Value Stream Bulk
Direct Reports: None (functional leadership and coaching responsibilities)
Key Responsibilities
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Lead the deployment and continuous improvement of the CSL Operating System (COS) within Value Stream Bulk.
- Develop, manage, and execute the CI roadmap and portfolio, including project identification, business case development, prioritization, milestone planning, benefit tracking, and reporting.
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities to strengthen compliance, quality, efficiency, delivery performance, and process reliability.
- Lead and facilitate Kaizen events, Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, structured problem-solving workshops, and cross-functional improvement projects.
Performance Management & COS Reporting
- Drive KPI governance and performance management through COS-based reporting, dashboarding, visual management, and performance review routines.
- Conduct trend analyses and translate performance insights into prioritized improvement actions.
- Ensure transparency, standardization, and data integrity of performance reporting in alignment with CSL standards and business objectives.
- Monitor and communicate the impact of improvement initiatives through KPI improvement and benefit realization tracking.
Process Optimization & Change Leadership
- Drive process optimization, standardization, and digitalization initiatives across manufacturing and supporting functions.
- Coach leaders and employees in Lean Thinking, Operational Excellence principles, Visual Management, and structured problem solving.
- Act as a change agent to foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Ensure successful implementation of improvement initiatives on time, within budget, and with sustainable results.
Qualifications Education
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Natural Sciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline; equivalent experience in a GMP-regulated environment may be considered.
- Lean/Kaizen and Six Sigma certification preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Quality.
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional improvement initiatives and delivering measurable business results.
- Experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
Competencies
- Strong expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, performance management, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience with digital systems and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, MES, TrackWise, Power BI).
- Strong analytical, facilitation, coaching, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence across functions and organizational levels and successfully drive change.
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred.
- Business-fluent in German and English.
