Job Description

About this job:

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will report to the Head of IT Risk and Reserving Applications. As a member of our dynamic team, you will collect and analyse stakeholders’ requirements and translate those into efficient and innovative technical solutions. Your project management skills will ensure appropriate planning and prioritization as well as transparent communication to our stakeholders.

About the role:

  • Application Development: Leverage your experience in Reinsurance and actuarial processes to contribute to solution design of new application components. Gather, challenge and prioritize business requirements and translate into precise technical specifications. Contribute to development and deployment of system components and support system testing and documentation.
  • Operational support: Build a strong relationship to business stakeholders and a sound understanding of their core processes and priorities. Foster constant exchange with business stakeholders to ensure business needs are understood and translated into high quality and efficient technical solutions. Use combination of business knowledge and SQL skills to ensure findings are resolved in an efficient and timely manner with focus on long-term solution.
  • Project Management: Support project planning and execution, focus on delivering high quality on time and on budget. Communicate transparently to business stakeholders and IT.

Qualifications

About you:

Technical Skills: 

  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Business Objects)
  • Strong understanding of reinsurance business and actuarial processes
  • Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes
  • Familiarity with Snowflake and Data Virtuality is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to effectively work in a collaborative, international and cross-location team
  • Ability to own tasks, prioritize work, multi-task, and work independently with remote supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Work Experience: 

  • 5-10 years of business analysis experience ideally within the actuarial field
  • Proficiency in English is a must (Written and verbal communication)

Education:

  • Degree or equivalent in Actuarial or IT related subject
