Let’s fix hospitality, for good.
Hospitality is tough – margins are thin, waste is high, and teams are stretched. But it doesn’t have to be this hard. That’s why we built Nory.
Our CEO, Conor, knows the pain first-hand. After founding and scaling Mad Egg in Ireland, he got fed up with juggling “market-leading” systems, clunky spreadsheets, and endless printouts. So he set out to build the tool he wished he’d had from day one.
Nory is an all-knowing restaurant management system. It blends real-time data with AI predictive analytics, giving operators control of their margins. From food prep to forecasting, it’s operational intelligence that helps restaurants run with consistency, certainty, and profit. The result? Thriving restaurants, better jobs, less waste, healthier margins.
And we’re just getting started. Fresh off a Series B led by Kinnevik, we’ve grown to 70+ people across Ireland, the UK, and Spain – and demand is scaling faster than we ever imagined.
We’re now looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our growing Data team. You’ll be our first analytics hire, and you’ll help shape how we use data to operate smarter at every level of the business. The platforms are in place — Snowflake, dbt, Omni, Airbyte — and now we need someone to turn raw ingredients into something powerful. This role would be ideal for someone who has progressed to Senior in an established team and is looking for headroom to take broader ownership of analytics.
What you’ll be doing:This role is for someone who thrives on ownership, moves fast with rigour, and cares about meaningful business impact. You’ll lay the foundations for how we use analytics at Nory - setting the standard for scalable, reliable, and actionable data.
Build company-wide KPI dashboards: In your first few months, you’ll work with the exec team to build and roll out dashboards that replace manual spreadsheets and CSV exports.
Enable quarterly planning and execution: Own the development and tracking of company and team-level targets, supporting how we plan, measure, and execute across the business.
Deliver internal data products: Collaborate with Ops, GTM, Marketing, Finance, Product, and CS to create curated data marts, prebuilt dashboards, and interactive reports.
Model, document, and test our data: Build a deep understanding of our data sources and materialise them into easy-to-use models in dbt. Implement testing, documentation, and quality alerting.
Enable the rest of the business: Support teams in learning and using our BI tools effectively. From onboarding new joiners to levelling up power users, you’ll help others become more data-driven.
Senior-level analytics experience: You have at least 3 years of experience working in modern analytics teams at tech startups. You’ve built the dashboards and the processes — and know what good looks like.
Strong SQL and dbt skills: You write clean, modular code, build thoughtful data models, and maintain clear lineage. You understand performance and maintainability.
Data warehousing know-how: You have a solid theoretical knowledge of data warehousing including the ability to debug non-performant queries and design fit for purpose schemas.
Tooling fundamentals: You’ve worked with cloud data platforms and BI tools. We use Omni, Snowflake, and Airbyte - but we believe good fundamentals matter more than specific tools.
Business-first mindset: You care about outcomes, not just outputs. You balance detail with pragmatism and always keep the end-user in mind.
Startup readiness: You’re looking for ownership. You’re motivated by autonomy, ambiguity, and the chance to shape something from the ground up.
If you’re excited by what we’re building, we’d love to hear from you—even if you don’t tick every box.
What you’ll get in return:💰 Competitive salary range depending on experience
