About this job:
We are looking for a highly motivated and reliable Senior Analyst to join the Financial Planning, Forecasting and Management Information team within PartnerRe’s global Planning and Performance Management function. The team is responsible for the production of financial plans and forecasts and the analysis of financial results of the PartnerRe Group and its business segments, for senior members of the Group’s management. In addition, the team provides analysis and financial information to the CFOs of the Group’s various legal entities, including in Ireland, Bermuda, the USA, and Singapore, to assist them in meeting their local governance and regulatory requirements.
The role provides an opportunity to build on a firm foundation of processes and make improvements in the delivery of financial information to business leaders. With your excellent analytical skills, an eye for details as well as the ability to excel in a challenging and fast paced environment, you will contribute to the team`s success.
Candidates are sought who are highly motivated, with a strong accounting background and are eager to continuously learn and improve their skills.
About the role:
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of the financial results of the Group and its business segments, with focus on technical results. Effectively communicate results and provide insights to senior management and other internal and external stakeholders
- Review quarterly financial results and provide challenge where necessary to ensure financial reporting is accurate at the business segment level
- Preparation/review of quarterly Group Board & Audit Committee materials
- Communicate results and provide insights to senior Group management and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Support local legal entities with board reporting, regulatory reporting requirements and other reporting needs
- Take a leading role in the production of regular and ad-hoc reports/analysis for the Group CEO and CFO and other key stakeholders (board, BU CEOs and company senior management) to support informed decision-making
- Support the production of annual and longer term financial plans and tracking/forecasting with respect to those plans
- Spearhead process improvements and efficiencies by implementing best practices, standardization, and cutting-edge automation technologies to optimize workflows and enhance overall productivity.
- Form close working relationship with key stakeholders across the business, ensuring co-operation and collaboration
- Proactively drive personal development initiatives and inspire others to cultivate their own professional growth
Qualifications
About you:
We are looking for a motivated, highly organized person with a solution-oriented mind set, enjoying collaboration as well as working on your own.
- Undergraduate in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- Qualified or part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a minimum of 6 years’ experience
- Proven experience in Financial Reporting or FP&A or similar role within the (re)insurance industry or Big 4 experience with a focus in (re)insurance
- Proficiency in financial analysis, reporting and performance measurement
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools, especially MS Excel
- Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI), financial planning software (e.g. Anaplan) and advanced data analysis/processing tools (e.g. Alteryx) is a significant plus
- Attention to detail with an analytical mindset excelling in both independent and collaborative work within a dynamic environment.
- Action-oriented approach and initiative taking, showcasing a strong work ethic and a passion for driving change
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders effectively
