The AI Senior Consultant is a consulting expert within the Optum Advisory (OA) Ireland Consulting team. This is a rapidly growing business that serves clients across the health care ecosystem. We provide on-demand access to consulting talent with unparalleled experience and combine it with premium customer care and flexible contracting, allowing clients to focus on their core capabilities and create an agile workforce that scales with the demands of their business. OA Ireland consultants combine deep healthcare expertise with AI enabled delivery approaches, leveraging data-driven tools to accelerate insights, improve decision-making, and drive measurable outcomes across complex enterprise initiatives. Engagements are delivered through a range of structured consulting delivery models that are tailored to client needs, scope, and organisational maturity.

What you will do:

• Collaborate with business and technology teams to identify issues, establish objectives, develop recommendations, and implement solutions for our clients
• Leverage AI enabled tools to support and accelerate consulting delivery activities while improving efficiency and outcomes
• Advise clients on practical applications of AI to enhance business processes, digital products, and operational performance
• Provide work stream/project oversight, manage and track issue resolution, and make key decisions for the project with the project sponsor
• Effectively build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients
• Drive outcomes without direct authority, engaging team members in a cross-functional environment
• Define, establish, and deploy Project Management Office (PMO) frameworks, standards, and best practices, leveraging advanced project management tools and artifacts (e.g., Charter/Scope, Integrated Project Plans, Issue logs, Requirements Matrices, Lessons Learned, and portfolio tracking)
• Monitor, manage, and document project milestones, deliverables, and outcomes throughout the project lifecycle, proactively identifying emerging issues and driving appropriate actions to maintain project alignment and momentum
• Develop, communicate, and execute comprehensive project risk and issue management plans, including mitigation and escalation strategies to minimise impact and ensure successful delivery
• Facilitate status updates and review of programs to client leadership and/or project sponsor
• Provide clear communications (oral and written) and share knowledge at all levels of the organisation
• Conduct research studies that may include collecting, analysing, trending, and presenting data and recommendations to management
• Provide coaching and mentoring of project team with the goal of developing talent within the organisation
• Ensure that the engagement performs consistent with expected client value and internal financial targets

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in Project Management, Product Management, or related roles within healthcare environments
• Proven experience driving process improvement initiatives and delivering measurable business outcomes
• Proven experience developing project deliverables and managing complex workstreams within client-facing environments
• Proven experience working within Agile teams and applying Agile methodologies to project delivery
• Demonstrated working knowledge of CA Agile, Rally, Jira, or similar project management and work-tracking tools
• Proven experience leveraging AI-enabled tools, including Generative AI, automation technologies, or advanced analytics platforms, to enhance productivity, decision-making, and deliverables

Preferred Qualifications:

• Agile, Scrum, or related professional certification
• Proven experience working with nationally recognized consulting firms or healthcare payer and provider organizations
• Proven experience across all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Proven experience within digital health or consumer digital products and services
• Proven experience working within large, matrixed organizations
• Proven ability to work effectively within highly technical and fast-paced environments
• Demonstrated solid interpersonal skills
