We are seeking an experienced Project Manager/Scrum Master to lead project teams working on our premier insurance administration systems and help institute process changes within the organization, primarily Agile frameworks and tools. This position is expected to perform the following essential duties and responsibilities.
This is a contract position for a period of 6 months, however, there will be opportunities to transition to a full time role.
Responsibilities

Lead one or more cross-functional Agile software development project teams

Coordinate project efforts for team members; understand dependencies, manage priorities, monitor progress, and ensure completion of tasks

Resolve impediments to team progress
-
Work with key business partners and IT management to set priorities for IT project team(s)

Facilitate daily check-in meetings
-
Lead planning sessions
-
Understand project risks and provide specific risk/mitigation details to IT management
-
Work with IT team members to produce effort estimates for potential work items

Coordinate with Release Management for release scope, timing and approvals, following departmental processes

Produce short and long-term plans and adjust both on a regular basis

Articulate resource needs or conflicts, managing project demands and ongoing maintenance

Share regular updates with IT management regarding project status (short and long-term)

Coordinate with internal and external business resources

Analyze current processes and work with team members to consider ways to introduce meaningful changes

Share your expertise implementing Agile frameworks for own and other project teams

Work within the larger IT organization to enhance processes within shared services such as release management that directly impact IT projects
Required
-
7+ years’ experience leading software development projects; at least some Agile
-
Strong communication skills (with cross-functional teams, IT and Business Leaders, external client contacts)

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Agile tool experience (JIRA preferred)

Experience organizing and facilitating Scrum ceremonies

Ability to work professionally and effectively with co-workers, clients, and vendors
