The successful candidate will be our go-to person for applying scrum to produce high-quality work. The Scrum Master will manage timelines, address issues, and teach Agile methods to team members across several large-scale cloud migration projects.
Required skills:
- Experience working in a complex software environment with multiple deliveries, teams and dependencies
- Solid useful knowledge of different Agile approaches and the context in which they can succeed, helping the team evolve the common process that is most suitable for them
- Effective interpersonal & relationship building skills, with the ability to work across functions, geographies and cultures
- Exemplary communication skills in conflict resolution and negotiation
- Certification, e.g. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I)
- Robust Atlassian suite (Confluence/JIRA) skills
- Solid experience enabling and coaching software teams, helping them to identify areas of improvement, providing support with alternative methods and measuring the value of those improvements
- Demonstrate an ability to use data to help the team make informed decisions e.g. tracking and measuring velocity, using control charts to manage cycle time and WIP
- Proven experience in influencing & facilitating key discussions
- An ability to support the Product Owner in managing the Product Backlog
- Demonstrate evidence of how to improve the scrum processes of a team and the associated team behaviours
- An ability to teach, coach, inspire and encourage people to change their values and practices
- An interest to work across and contributing to our customer's scrum communities
Key responsibilities & duties include:
- Assist the Product Owner in managing the product backlog and related deliverables
- Organise scrum ceremonies across various teams
- Mentor team members in Agile methodologies
- Promote effective internal communication and collaboration
- Collaborate with product owners to manage backlogs and address new requests
- Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles for the product team
- Act as a change agent within the team
- Ensure deliverables meet the Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) as agreed upon by the product team
- Guide development teams towards higher levels of scrum maturity
- Utilize data to drive decision-making for the product teams
- Foster a productive environment where team members take ownership of the product and enjoy working on it
Desirable Skills:
- Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks (Crystal, XP etc.)
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
- Outstanding organisational skills
- Degree in computer science, business or similar field
