The role

The Solution Architect role is responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive Salesforce solutions that align with client goals and technical requirements. This role will provide strategic guidance, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performance architecture across various Salesforce products and integrations. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions, and leading development teams to deliver effective outcomes. The Architect role ensures best practices, compliance, and optimal use of Salesforce capabilities to drive success.

What you'll do

  • Designing and putting in place secure, robust and scalable technical architectures and Salesforce solutions while working with multiple stakeholders. Leading design workshops to understand business process, recommend and design a Salesforce solution that suits the client needs

  • Create and manage the breakdown of Salesforce solutions into user stories and requirements, estimate each requirement, map dependencies and work with a project manager to build project plans

  • Ensure technical quality and good Salesforce solution design principles are followed by leveraging your deep technical expertise to advise on architectural and technical development

  • Lead a delivery team and work with a project manager to ensure the implementation of agreed Salesforce solution and infrastructure

  • Allocation of project tasks to the development team, ensuring tickets provide the sufficient technical detail required for developers to follow

  • Support project managers with the relevant information to create documentation for projects including Project Plan, Gantt Chart, Status Reports, Risk Logs etc

  • Monitor and assist delivery of development tasks

  • Performing code review to ensure quality and best practice standards are met

  • Managing pipelines for CI/CD

  • Managing the testing of the Salesforce solution, provide input to test scripts and triage bugs found on the platform

  • Management of change from a technical perspective to support project delivery, within budget, scope, quality and time

  • Documenting best practices and operational procedures

  • Acting as a role model and advising customers on architectural and technical development best practices during workshops and during the project

  • Manage the handover of the project with customers and other internal teams

  • Collaborating with clients and project teams from a Technical perspective for Salesforce solutions across a range of industries

  • Line management of a technical team including Technical Leads and Developers, providing coaching, feedback and support to help them achieve their career goals and grow within the organisation

  • Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performance team culture, focusing on continuous improvement and professional development  

What you'll need

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading and designing Salesforce Solutions on multiple Salesforce projects

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skill

  • Strong background in Salesforce platforms, including Salesforce Cloud solutions (Sales, Service, Marketing, etc.), with in-depth knowledge of Salesforce project delivery methodologies

  • Significant experience leading project teams to deliver Salesforce projects using various project and program management methodologies in a variety of environments

  • Experience designing custom functionality using LWC, Aura, triggers, different custom jobs, flows, data migrations and good understanding of Salesforce best practices

  • Experience designing different types of integrations between Salesforce and other systems for example integrations using Salesforce APIs, outgoing integrations, web services, Salesforce Connect, Mulesoft and middleware solutions

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of working with Salesforce.com using out of the box Salesforce functionality

  • Leading development team throughout the software development lifecycle, managing setting up deployment processes and tools

  • Excellent leadership and management skills with hands-on experience of managing and coaching technical teams in a leadership role

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

  • Multiple Salesforce certifications preferred
