Sales Trading Executive – Grocery & PharmacyRole Purpose

This role supports the Grocery and Pharmacy sales teams by delivering high-quality analysis, planning and operational support across customer accounts. You’ll help ensure accuracy in forecasting, promotional activity and customer processes, while providing clear insights to support performance.

It’s a great opportunity to gain exposure to customer account management and build a strong foundation for progression into a commercial sales role.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Account Support
  • Support Grocery and Pharmacy sales teams across a portfolio of customer accounts

  • Assist with customer reviews, presentations and internal updates

  • Contribute to the delivery of customer plans through strong organisation and attention to detail

Forecasting & Demand Planning
  • Support the forecasting process, ensuring accurate and timely inputs

  • Monitor performance vs forecast, highlighting risks and opportunities

  • Work closely with Sales and Supply Chain to support delivery of customer demand

EPOS, Data & Insights
  • Analyse EPOS and market data to support performance reviews

  • Produce clear, insight-led reports highlighting trends, risks and opportunities

  • Provide data-driven recommendations to support account performance

Promotions & Commercial Planning
  • Support the development of promotional proposals and customer submissions

  • Help evaluate promotional performance, including ROI

  • Ensure promotional plans are set up accurately and executed effectively

  • Support customer cost card analysis in collaboration with the Pricing team

Customer & Process Management
  • Support customer LTA and JBP processes

  • Manage key processes such as product set-up, new line forms and data submissions

  • Ensure all customer-facing documentation is accurate and delivered on time

  • Maintain high standards across systems, data and processes

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Sales, Category, Brand and Supply Chain teams

  • Support alignment across teams to deliver strong in-store execution

Skills & Experience
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Comfortable working with data (Excel and reporting tools)

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into clear insights

  • Good communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams

  • Proactive, reliable and able to take ownership

  • Interest in commercial roles, retail or FMCG

Preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Experience with SharePoint
