Lead global safety investigations, manage field actions, collaborate with engineering teams, and ensure compliance for joint ventures at GM.
Description
Facilitate communication of product investigations, field action decisions and execution strategies to General Motors global regions. Coordinate global field action execution, ensure remedy instructions, parts, government notifications, customer communications and repair completion tracking. Perform safety and field investigations global product integrity risk assessments for new joint venture developed products for launch in global markets. Sign off joint venture contracts for safety and field action requirements and agreements. Interact with joint ventures and all GM regions globally to maintain a working relationship in each of the SFI (Safety Field Investigations) process steps that enables timely reaction to any product investigation or recall decision by GM. Coordinate global investigation reviews with General Motors regions worldwide. Act as global safety and field action execution process lead for complex field actions involving different regions. Perform product investigations as required, ensuring data is recompiled and presented in a manner that enables leadership to easily review and make decision for field actions. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-Office, 2 Days Remote - Must be able to report to local office.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience as an Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Automotive Engineer, Quality Engineer, Program Manager, Brand Quality Manager, or related role. Three (3) years of experience with the following: Major automotive subsystems; Project management in an engineering environment; Engineering mechanics, electronics, physics, and manufacturing methods; Product Safety and Field Investigations and vehicle product development.
