The Risk & Compliance Senior Analyst, Technology will assist the Technology division in providing customised risk advice and support on the management of their risk profiles, issue remediation and controls, including coordination and completion of control testing activities and support with compliance activities.
About The Team:
The ASX Technology division plays a pivotal role in shaping our enterprise technology strategy and ensuring the seamless operation of IT environments across all divisions and lines of business. The Technology Business Management & Strategy team partners with Technology leadership to drive effective risk management, strategic planning, governance and performance outcomes.
Within this team, the Technology Risk function plays a critical role in supporting Line 1 ownership of risks, delivering risk insights, and uplifting control effectiveness across ASX Technology. We work closely with framework and control owners, the Technology extended leadership team, tech SMEs, and other risk counterparts across all three lines of defence, to embed practical, risk-informed decision-making across the tech landscape.
What You'll Do:
- Assist in coordinating and conducting control testing activities, including planning, walkthroughs and documentation.
- Support stakeholders in maintaining technology risk profiles including issues, actions, risks and obligations.
- Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for improvements in operational risk processes.
- Support the preparation of reports and evidence for governance activities.
- Engage with SMEs across the Technology and the wider organisation to support risk management activities.
- Support compliance activities to enable stakeholders to meet their obligations to internal requirements and regulatory expectations.
What You'll Need:
Must have
- Practical experience conducting and documenting control testing activities, including IT general controls.
- Experience supporting operational risk management processes with a focus on technology, within a team or project environment.
- Ability to identify and assess risks, analyse data and provide clear, actionable insights.
- Experience supporting the creation of risk reports and dashboards to assist decision-making.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as ITIL, NIST, ASD E8 and COBIT.
- Ability to work effectively with team members, technical SMEs and stakeholders to support risk-related activities.
- Willingness to learn, ask questions and proactively seek guidance to support a culture of continuous improvement.
Nice to have
- Experience working in a highly regulated sector like finance, banking or insurance.
- Qualification/industry accreditation in technology (e.g. degree in IT/computer science, CISA, CRISC, CISSP, AWS certifications.)
- Familiarity with tools like PowerBI and Excel dashboards, or similar software for basic data visualisation and reporting.
- Exposure to Governance Risk Controls tools (GRC).
