Revenue Accountant Job Description

The Revenue accountant will help support Lexmark’s monthly close activities as part of Planning to Reporting team, focusing on multi-element revenue transactions.

Responsibilities:

> Assist monthly with the calculation and recognition of revenue related to Lexmark’s Managed Print Services (“MPS”) and Traditional business. 

> Prepare revenue allocation models to correctly calculate revenue associated to multiple revenue element arrangements under new revenue accounting standards (ASC 606). 

> Assist with the preparation of necessary monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.

> Perform other month end close activities related to MPS and Traditional revenue, as necessary

> Assist in the performance of applicable controls related to MPS and Traditional  revenue.

> Perform fluctuation BS and P&L acounts fluctuation analysis 

> Analyze and validates issues/queries raised by Finance 

> Support audit requirements

> Assist with the system testing and validations related to Lexmark’s new revenue recognition software.

Qualified applicants must have:

1. A BS Accountancy or BS Management Accounting degree and 3 years relevant working experience.

2. Intermediate GAAP knowledge, with special focus on revenue recognition and internal control principles.  

3. Intermediate MS Excel skills.

4. Experience with ERP, SAP experience preferred.

5. Superior analytical skills and attention to detail.

6. Focus on internal controls, systems security, data integrity and statutory requirements

7. Good communication skills.
